Watchly ("we", "us", or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the Watchly application (the "App") and how we use it.

Information we collect

• Account information: When you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo to create and manage your account.
• Content you create: Rooms you create, videos you queue, and messages you send in chat.
• Device identifiers and advertising data: On Android and iOS, the free version of the App shows ads. Our ad partners collect your device's advertising identifier (Android Advertising ID or Apple IDFA, where permitted), IP address, approximate location derived from it, device and app information, and ad interactions in order to serve, measure and prevent fraud in ads. Watchly Pro removes ads.
• Usage data: Basic technical information such as device type and app activity, used to keep the App running reliably.
• Subscription data: If you purchase Watchly Pro, our payment processors receive your purchase, plan, trial status and renewal/expiry dates. Web and browser-extension purchases are processed by Paddle (our Merchant of Record); in-app purchases are processed through RevenueCat together with the Apple App Store or Google Play. We never receive or store your full payment-card details.

How we use your information

• To create your account and let you sign in.
• To enable real-time watch-together rooms and live chat.
• To process and manage your Watchly Pro subscription and unlock Pro features.
• To maintain, secure, and improve the App.
• To show ads in the free version of the App, measure their performance, and prevent ad fraud.

How your information is stored

Account data and content are stored securely using Google Firebase. Real-time messaging is delivered through Ably, live voice chat through Agora, and subscription management and payments through Paddle (web & browser extension) and RevenueCat together with the Apple App Store and Google Play (in-app).

Website analytics and cookies

On watchlyparty.com we use Google Analytics to understand which pages help people find Watchly. It only runs if you press Accept on the cookie banner; until then no analytics script is loaded and no analytics cookies are set. If you accept, Google Analytics sets first-party cookies (named _ga) and receives information such as the pages you visit, your approximate location, and your device and browser type. Advertising features are switched off. You can change your choice at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page; declining deletes these cookies. The website also uses Vercel Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies.

Advertising

The free version of the Watchly mobile app is supported by ads served through Google AdMob and its mediation partners: AppLovin, Meta Audience Network, Unity Ads, Liftoff (Vungle), Pangle and Mintegral. These partners receive your device's advertising identifier and the device and usage information described above, and process it under their own privacy policies. We also use Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how the App is used.

You can reset your advertising ID or opt out of personalized ads at any time: on Android in Settings → Google → Ads (or Settings → Privacy → Ads), and on iOS by turning off Allow Apps to Request to Track in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. Upgrading to Watchly Pro removes ads entirely.

Sharing your information

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the service providers and advertising partners listed above as needed to operate the App and show ads, or where required by law.

Data retention & deletion

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and associated data at any time from Settings → Delete account in the App, by submitting the account deletion request form, or by emailing hi@letswatchly.online. We process deletion requests within 30 days.

Children's privacy

Watchly is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
