We went through about five of these and landed on Watchly. The thing that sold us: it's the only one where the people on phones and the people on laptops are in the same room and stay perfectly in sync — most watch party tools are desktop browser extensions, so anyone on a phone is just locked out.
You create a room, share the link, and friends can join right in the browser with no account. Push-to-talk voice is built in, so you can actually chat through the scary parts instead of typing. The catch is it's a desktop browser extension — there's no real mobile support, so if half your friends are on phones like OP's, it's a non-starter. That's the exact reason we switched to a native app.

Kosmi and Hyperbeam are worth a mention for no-install — they run a shared virtual browser so sync is basically perfect and they work in a phone browser too. Downsides are session time limits and the video quality depends on their server, not your connection. Fine for a casual hangout, less great for a proper movie night.
